Little Lambs Nursery (0-2)
Our nursery provides a secure, nurturing environment for newborns through age 2. We offer secure check-in; check-out procedures and fully stocked supply cabinets in the event that an item is forgotten. For your convenience, the nursery opens 15 minutes before each service. Prompt retrieval of your child at the conclusion of the service is appreciated.
Policy/Procedures:
* Registration: When registering your child you will be issued a pager that will vibrate if we need your assistance. This pager must be returned when signing your child out.
* Co-op Nursery: Little Lambs Nursery is parent-run, which means that parents who use the nursery also volunteer as assistants. A minimum of once per quarter is expected and if you have several children that use the nursery we ask for an additional 1 or 2 times per quarter. Volunteer registration occurs prior to each quarter and allows for selecting dates that are most convenient for your family. Experienced teens and older children may also volunteer and when they do, they are paired with adults. When you volunteer, one of our trained staff will welcome you and assist in helping you become familiar with the facility and procedures.
* Special Needs: Children with special needs are welcome to join the nursery. Please provide necessary information at check-in and a "special friend" will be assigned to spend the time holding or assisting them.
* Transition time: We want your child to feel comfortable but transition time can often be difficult. If your child is feeling apprehensive, we invite you to take 10 minutes with your child in the room. After 10 minutes, if your child is still not comforted, please spend some time with them outside the nursery and then try re-entering the nursery again. You may also choose to leave them for with the staff for 10 minutes to see if they will make the adjustment. The staff will page you if you are needed.
* Supplies: We ask parents to provide a diaper bag supplying diapers, sippy cups, bottles, extra clothing etc. The nursery provides supplies in the event that an item is forgotten. There is no direct access to the changing table in the nursery; however, changing tables are available in all restrooms. There is also a crib room and mother's room adjacent to the auditorium that is equipped with changing tables.
* Crib and Mother's Rooms: For security purposes, the crib room is equipped with a coded lock. Check-in at the nursery is required in order to gain access. There is a monitor in this room and you will be given a pager and notified when you child awakens. Please replace the crib sheet (fresh ones are provided) when your child is finished with their nap. This helps prep the crib for the next child. The crib room is furnished with a changing table and touch lamps are provided for additional lighting if needed.
* Wellness Policy: To ensure the health of children, volunteers and staff, we ask that children that are ill not attend the nursery. A child is considered sick if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Persistent cough
- Colored nose drainage
- Rash
- Fever within 24 hour of service times
- Vomiting/diarrhea with 24 hours of service times

Kids Kingdom (age 3-6th grade)
Kid's Kingdom provides a secure environment that stimulates a better understanding of the love of God through Bible-centered teaching, worship and prayer. Our desire and goal is to teach the Word of God to every age group, at their level of understanding, while preparing them for the next grade and ultimately the adult service. Kids Kingdom includes Sunday morning Children's Church, held during adult services with age appropriate worship, story time, teaching, crafts and activities. It also expands into Fall Festival; Vacation Bible School and classes during Adult Discipleship sessions.
Preschool: Our pre-school department ministers to children ages 3 to Kindergarten. A structured morning of story time, craft/activity pages, worship and guided center time is enjoyed.
Elementary: First grade through 4th grade meet for a fun and meaningful time of Bible-centered stories, activity pages, crafts, games, worship and prayer. First graders must be signed in by an authorized person. Second grade through 4th grade may sign themselves in and plan a meeting spot with an authorized person after the service.
56er's: After joining their parents for the adult worship time, 5th and 6th graders will return to their classrooms for Bible study, games and age-appropriate discussions about the challenges they face as pre-teens. Separate classes are offered for boys and girls.
Policy/Procedures:
* Registration: All children must be registered and signed in at central check-in. When registering your child, you may be issued a pager that will vibrate if we need your assistance. This pager must be returned when signing your child out. Please inform your child as to who will be picking them up after the service. We also ask that pick-ups occur promptly after each service. When registering your child it is important that any allergies or other medical concerns are expressed and information provided. (See Wellness policy.)
* CC Volunteers: Volunteerism is held in high regard at MCCh and as you can imagine parental involvement in the Kids Kingdom program is imperative for our success. Anyone that is interested in children's education is considered as a potential volunteer but if you have a child in children's church, volunteering a minimum of once per quarter is expected. If you have several children, we ask for an additional 1 or 2 times per quarter. Volunteer registration occurs prior to each quarter and allows for selecting dates that are most convenient for your family. When you volunteer, one of our trained staff will welcome you and assist in helping you become familiar with the facility and procedures.
* Special Needs: Children with special needs are welcome to join the class that corresponds with their grade level, unless otherwise requested. Please provide necessary information at check-in and a "special friend" will be assigned to spend the time guiding or assisting them.
* Transition Dates: Our pre-school department offers age-appropriate activities and a child-friendly environment. Your child will remain in their age-appropriate class until after their birthday and the start of the next quarter. You will receive a reminder about their "move-up" date which will give you time to show your child where their new room is located. This often helps to dispel any anxiety related to the transition.
* Redemption Store: Children ages 5 through 4th grade are eligible to receive tokens each Sunday for bringing their Bible, a friend, by displaying Christ-like behavior ("caught being good"), by learning a memory verse and for random acts of kindness. Each class has a designated Sunday to redeem their tokens at the Redemption Store located in the Kids Kingdom foyer. Visitors may redeem their tokens immediately.
* Bring your Bibles: Our curriculum teaches familiarity with the books and verses of the Bible and so we strongly encourage children to bring their Bibles to church. If your child does not have a Bible and would like one, please let us know.
* Wellness Policy: To ensure the health of children, volunteers and staff, we ask that children that
are ill not attend Kids Kingdom activities. A child is considered sick if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Persistent cough
- Colored nose drainage
- Rash
- Fever within 24 hour of service times
- Vomiting/diarrhea with 24 hours of service times
